“Ukrainian House” (Ukrainos namai) is a Lithuanian NGO established in 2021 in Vilnius. We unite Ukrainians and Lithuanians for humanitarian, cultural and informational cooperation, as well as in the field of information resistance and the fight against disinformation and manipulation.

Independent radio is the voice of understanding, dignity and honor of Ukrainians and their friends in Lithuania and the rest of Europe.

WHAT IS KNOWN ABOUT US AND WHAT IS NOT
The Lithuanian non-governmental organisation “Ukrainos namai” was established in 2021.
From the very beginning of its activities, it aimed to promote the development of cultural and informational contacts between Ukraine and Lithuania, as well as the rest of the Baltic and Nordic countries. Several interesting projects were developed. But a full-scale war broke out, and Russia attacked Ukraine. This forced Ukrainos Namai to adjust its activities and focus on providing large-scale humanitarian aid. However, all the while, we resisted Russian propaganda, which aimed to destroy the truth, rewrite history, and sow chaos and despair in European societies. Therefore, the great project The Way of Freedom, which was launched by a group of successful people, should be equally successful, interesting and extremely useful for the people of Europe.

Over the past two years, a joint international team under the umbrella of ‘Ukrainos Namai’ has implemented a number of joint cultural and humanitarian projects on a volunteer basis, including assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, children of Ukraine under threat, residents of Bucha, the information and media project ‘Doors to Ukraine’ (‘Durys į Ukrainą’), exhibitions of photos and artifacts about the consequences of the war, the March of Lithuanian citizens for peace in Ukraine, etc.
We are currently forming a cooperation platform. We see the network of partners as a forum for cooperation and a mechanism for crystallising the future development of the project. It is this form of cooperation that will allow us to create an effective institution and management structure, and in the final part - a cultural and media platform for cooperation, information exchange and protection of historical truth. In today's environment, the media is required to demonstrate courage, honesty and truth. It is on these three pillars that the radio of a new moral quality with a rather symbolic name - Barricade - will be built.
The mission of the project is also to become a guide for Europeans who find themselves in a rather complex information world and are looking for guidelines to the truth. It is our cooperation platform that will become such a guide for many.

We are an NGO that does not stand aside. From the very first days of the full-scale invasion, we got involved, uniting people, resources and efforts for the sake of those who need support the most. Our initiatives have included both humanitarian aid to civilians and providing Ukraine's defenders with the necessary resources.
