CONFERENCES AND MEETINGS

Participation in international events has always been and remains one of the priorities of the Ukrainian House. Historical memory and information security are topics of great concern to the founders of the organisation. At the same time, these are the areas of activity that are very fruitful and successful. It is thanks to the efforts of the Ukrainian House that Lithuania and Ukraine have learned more about the activities of the prominent figure Eugene Konovalets. And this activity in the interwar period was closely connected with Kaunas, the government of the young Lithuanian state. Ukrainian historians Oleksandr Kucheruk from Kyiv and Ivan Khoma from Lviv, as well as Lithuanian collector and sociologist Raimundas Kaminskas and Lithuanian journalist Viktor Černišuk, were involved in the research. In addition to unique scholarly books and monographs, a documentary film about Eugene Konovalets' activities in Lithuania was created.

  • All these activities and progress in research prompted the creation of the Eugene Konovalets International Political, Scientific and Public Conference. Despite the fact that the Ukrainian House was the leader in the process of creating the conference, many partners from different countries - especially Lithuania, the Netherlands, Canada, and Ukraine - took part in its organisation. The conference has a huge potential to become a solid civic forum for updating opinions against the backdrop of information aggression, historical manipulations and provocations by Russia.
